Your hair & your possibilities
Can K-Tips work with my texture?
Hairapy works across straight, wavy, curly, coily, and kinky-straight textures. Selection considers curl pattern, strand characteristics, natural density, and the way you style your hair. We assess the actual hair and your goals before recommending a match.
Are K-Tips suitable for fine or thinning hair?
Sometimes—but fine strands, low density, and active hair loss are different considerations. Suitability depends on what your hair and scalp can support. I may modify the plan, avoid an area, postpone service, or recommend medical clearance. Extensions are a cosmetic service, not a treatment for hair loss.
Can you work with short hair?
Possibly. Starting length, density, coverage, and the desired change all affect whether a blend is realistic. The short-to-long result in the portfolio is one individual case, not a universal minimum-length promise. Your consultation determines the appropriate options.
Can you match my color or add dimension?
Yes—color matching and custom blending are part of the planning process. Depending on your plan, extension hair may be blended, toned, or colored. Color on your natural hair is assessed separately, with testing or additional appointments where appropriate. Inspiration photos guide the direction; exact replication is not guaranteed.
Consultation & investment
How do I get started?
Complete the K-Tip inquiry through Start Here. We then arrange the consultation and discuss your hair history, natural texture and density, color goals, lifestyle, maintenance expectations, and investment. Your installation is planned after assessment, not selected from a generic bundle count.
What should I bring to my consultation?
Bring inspiration photos and be ready to discuss previous extensions, color and chemical services, your current routine, and any hair or scalp concerns. For virtual consultations, clear current photos in natural light—and examples of your hair curly, stretched, or styled as requested—help us plan.
Do you offer online consultations?
Yes. Online consultations are $100 and are available for local and out-of-state clients. We review your hair history, current photos or video, texture and color direction, lifestyle, maintenance expectations, and a preliminary recommendation. Because a camera cannot reveal everything, final suitability, hair requirements, and pricing may change after an in-person assessment.
What happens during an in-person consultation?
In-person consultations are $200 at Hairapy Studio in Roswell. Octavia can closely assess your hair and scalp, density, strand diameter, texture, color, and available coverage; compare potential matches from the texture wall; and begin shaping a personalized sourcing and placement plan.
Is my consultation fee applied to my installation?
No. The consultation is a standalone professional service and the fee is not credited toward an installation. Full consultation payment is required before the appointment is confirmed. Any installation retainer is separate and is explained in your written proposal.
What is the investment?
Custom K-Tip installations start at $3,500. Your final quote depends on the hair selected, length, density, sourcing, color requirements, and preparation. Your written proposal explains the specific inclusions and any additional services.
When does custom preparation begin?
After the required retainer and paperwork are completed. Your written proposal and service agreement set out the payment milestones, ordering requirements, and appointment details. An inquiry or proposed date alone does not reserve custom hair or installation time.
How long will my appointment take?
Timing depends on your installation design, hair preparation, density, and any color services. Your appointment length and whether more than one visit is needed are discussed during planning. Please confirm the schedule before arranging work, childcare, or travel.
Living in your K-Tips
How long can I wear them?
Wear time is individualized. Growth, shedding, natural density, scalp condition, bond movement, and home care all influence your recommended removal window. Follow the dates in your plan rather than extending wear to reach a promised number of months.
What maintenance is involved?
Your routine includes gentle brushing and bond separation as instructed, compatible products, a clean scalp, fully dried bonds, and low-tension styling. Professional check-ins are commonly recommended every 6–8 weeks or as written in your plan. A check-in does not replace timely professional removal.
Can I exercise or swim?
We plan around your lifestyle and give you specific aftercare instructions, including initial settling precautions. After exercise, keep the roots and bonds clean and dry. Swimming needs preparation, prompt rinsing, and thorough drying; prolonged chlorine or saltwater exposure can affect the hair and color.
Can I wear ponytails or buns?
Tell me how you like to wear your hair before we plan placement. Low-tension styles are preferred, and tight or repeated pulling should be avoided. Visibility and styling flexibility depend on your natural coverage, placement, and growth—no installation can promise invisible bonds in every style.
Can I color or remove the extensions myself?
Please do not apply at-home color, lightener, toner, or bond remover to the installation. Keep direct hot-tool heat off the bonds. Removal should be performed by a trained professional; any potential hair reuse or future installation is assessed professionally rather than assumed.
Booking & follow-up
What if I need to reschedule?
Contact Hairapy Studio as early as possible. Your written proposal and signed service agreement govern notice requirements, appointment transfers, retainers, and custom-order costs. Because hair may already be ordered or prepared specifically for you, please review those terms before reserving.
I live outside Georgia. Can I still work with Hairapy?
Yes. Begin with a $100 online consultation so we can review your goals and determine the most appropriate next step. You may travel to Hairapy Studio in Roswell, and Octavia also travels by request when the service, location, timing, and travel arrangements are approved. Do not book transportation until your service plan and appointment are confirmed. Ongoing maintenance and professional removal should be planned before installation.
What should I do if something feels wrong?
Contact Hairapy Studio promptly with clear photos and a description of the concern. Pain, burning, swelling, sores, or worsening discomfort should not be ignored. Do not pick at or remove the bonds yourself; urgent or severe symptoms require appropriate medical care.
